COPROMEC Shot Sleeve
COPROMEC shot sleeves are made of tempered and nitrided steel. It is designed and manufactured in accordance with standards to withstand high temperatures, thermal shocks, high abrasiveness of alloys and high pressures developed during the die casting process. Thanks to the extensive experience of our engineers, COPROMEC has developed significant know-how at every stage of the production process, from the design and selection of certified materials to machining and heat treatment.
Why should you use a COPROMEC shot sleeve?
- Certified material
- Certified production process
- Specially produced COPROMEC shot sleeve for the use of COPROMEC pistons
- Special production option according to customer needs
- Longer lifetime guaranteed: Matching the COPROMEC shot sleeve and the COPROMEC piston increases the lifetime of the shot sleeve by more than 50%.
COPROMEC recommends; COPROMEC’s thermoregulated chamber system makes it possible to control the temperature and prevent deformations caused by thermal shocks. When a thermoregulated chamber is used, the service life of the shot sleeve is extended, as well as the service life of other elements in the shot group it works with.
The COPROMEC Shot sleeve is one piece:
Manufactured from one piece of solid steel, with special machining, without additional components. One-piece shot sleeve, high quality, economical. Because it reduces the scrap rate. It positively affects the service life of the entire COPROMEC shot group. We recommend using a one-piece shot sleeve for all your high pressure die casting projects. (Including your casting trials.)
COPROMEC interchangeable shot sleeve bush
The part of the shot sleeve that is most exposed to erosion is located under the pouring hole, so we recommend using a COPROMEC interchangeable bush so that this erosion does not quickly damage the shot sleeve. Once the lifetime of the bush is over, it can be easily replaced, avoiding the purchase of a new shot sleeve.
- It provides cost advantage. Instead of replacing the shot sleeve, you can replace the bush and reset the damage.
- Bush change can be done easily and in a short time by the user.
- Bushes (inserts) are made of High alloy steel for long durability.
COPROMEC COOLING JACKET
The cooling bush consists of a cylindrical steel casing with a cooling circuit in it, whose connections are positioned on the sides. Its use is recommended when the shot sleeve undergoes severe wear in the alloy pouring area due to the combination of mechanical and thermal stress and at the same time has a very reduced thickness that does not make it possible to create an integrated thermoregulation circuit. The water jacket is made according to the shape of the shot sleeve and fitted tightly to it by means of two screws, in order to guarantee the best heat exchange between the two elements.
